This really touched my heart...

Today I had one of my clients (William's mom) come over to pick up her adorable 16x20 picture of her son. William's mom has been so great to work with and he is such a little joy to put in front of the camera. I really enjoyed his session!!

On the day of William's session I got to meet his grandfather who was the nicest man. He willingly helped me carry all of my props around Audubon Park, I told him it was okay that I could handle it but he insisted. From that point on I knew he was such a great person. As we wrapped things up that day, we were walking to my car and saw a ticket distributor taking down my license plate to give me a ticket. He said you better run over there because I think she is giving you a ticket. I ran and talked to the lady but she said "it was too late" and that I was getting a ticket. I wanted to argue with her but I figured I would brush it under the rug as a lesson learned. As she walked away he asked me how much the ticket was and handed me the money to pay for it. I was shocked to think this man I just met not only helped me during my session but has now offered to pay for a ticket that he has nothing to do with. After going back and forth telling him "it's okay" all I could say was THANK YOU ! In those short moments he reminded me of my dad. So I told him thank you and drove away in aw.
During William's session, his grandfather was very involved with him. They played and walked together, it was obvious that he was completely head over heels for his 2 year old grandson. I made sure I captured them holding hands in a few of the shots. It's so special to see families interact together. Those are my favorite moments and capturing them means so much to me!!

When William's mom came over today to pick up her picture, we were talking and she told me how grateful she was that I captured a picture of William and his grandfather. It is a simple picture of him and his grandfather holding hands but it means the world to her and her family now. William's grandfather passed away New Year's Eve due to a heart attack. When she told me this I wanted to cry. He seemed to be such a sweet man who had so much love for his family. Just knowing that his grandson will have this picture to remember him and to think I captured it for him, I am very thankful for this! Thank you!

I just wanted to share this with you guys because it's so important to love your family because you just never know what tomorrow will bring. I will keep William's family in my prayers and hope that I can be a great person like his grandfather.
